Yanga SC is set to begin announcing updates regarding their squad restructuring today, starting with players who will not be part of the team for the upcoming season.
Club’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, revealed that he has already received the official file listing players set to leave, those whose contracts have been renewed, and new signings for the 2025/26 season.
“I’ve received the squad improvement report for next season. It’s divided into sections: players whose contracts have ended and whom the coach has asked us to release, players whose contracts have been renewed, those we’ve terminated, and players offered new contracts.”
“So when I begin releasing the updates, I’ll decide where to start – whether from the top or by trimming down first,” Kamwe explained.
Kamwe also noted that the club decided to unveil coach Conte earlier as a way of exciting fans, emphasizing that his arrival is not their biggest move as more significant signings are lined up.
Among the confirmed departures is striker Kennedy Musonda, who has already moved to Israel after his contract expired.
Other players potentially on their way out include Clatous Chama, Jonas Mkude, Farid Mussa, Aziz Andabwile, Khalid Aucho, and Jonathan Ikangalombo – who may be sent out on loan.
