A few weeks ago, Yanga completed the signing of attacking midfielder Celestine Ecua, who had been playing for Asec Mimosas on loan from Zoman FC.
Earlier this week, a dispute arose between Ecua and his management company, WA FOOTBALL AGENCY, concerning the transfer.
It was reported that another Tanzanian club had finalized an agreement with Ecua's representatives before reaching terms with the player himself.
However, Ecua refused to join that club, insisting that he had already concluded talks with Yanga and that it is the team he intends to play for in the upcoming season.
WA FOOTBALL AGENCY has now resolved the issue by agreeing to respect the player's decision, confirming yesterday that Ecua will be joining Yanga.
"After lengthy discussions and in-depth negotiations, our player Ecua Celestin has officially signed with Young Africans SC (Yanga SC).
A new chapter begins with one of the most renowned clubs in East Africa. The contract is now complete, and the player will soon travel to Tanzania to join his new team.
We thank all parties involved for facilitating this professional transfer. Let us move forward to new challenges," the agency confirmed in a statement.
It is now official—Ecua’s transfer is 100% complete, and he is expected to arrive in the country next week to begin pre-season preparations.
