Congolese winger Jonathan Ikangalombo is reported to be among the players that Yanga plans to loan out during this transfer window, which opened on July 1 and is expected to close on September 7.
Having served Yanga for just about six months, Ikangalombo has struggled to break into the first team.
When he was signed by the historic champions, Ikangalombo penned a two-and-a-half-year contract, meaning he still has two years remaining on his deal.
However, it is reported that the player's representatives have rejected Yanga’s plan to loan him out, insisting instead that his contract be terminated so that he can seek a new challenge with another team.
By the time the player left the country to return to DR Congo for holiday, there had been no discussions between him and Yanga regarding his future.
It is clear that within the two weeks before players return for pre-season training, his fate will be decided.
Since joining Yanga, Ikangalombo has played six Premier League matches, totaling 136 minutes, registering two assists and no goals.
In the FA Cup, he scored one goal in the Round of 16 match against Songea United, a game that Yanga won 2–0.
