Yanga head coach Miloud Hamdi has stated that his team cannot afford any mistakes in their Premier League match against Dodoma Jiji, scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, at New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Hamdi emphasized that they must win the match to strengthen their position in the title race.
However, he acknowledged that it will not be an easy game, as every team that faces Yanga gives their all in pursuit of a positive result.
"I won’t say much because for the game against Dodoma Jiji, we simply need to win — we don’t want to hear about a draw or a loss."
"We know it won’t be an easy match because every team that plays against Yanga fights until the last drop of sweat."
"It’s important for us to win this match, and if we do, I believe we can begin to think seriously about the title."
"All the players understand the task at hand, and I believe they will play with great spirit to ensure we get the victory," said Hamdi.
Commenting on the squad’s condition, Hamdi said that strikers Prince Dube and Kennedy Musonda will be absent, but all other players are available.
"Dube suffered a minor injury in the previous match. We brought him to Zanzibar so he can continue recovering. Musonda is still ill," added Hamdi.
