The transfer plan of Yanga striker, Clement Mzize, to Egyptian football giants Zamalek SC has hit a last-minute snag due to disagreements from the player's agent.
According to sources close to the transfer negotiations, Yanga and Zamalek had reached an advanced stage in discussions regarding Mzize's move. The two clubs had been in talks for several weeks and had already agreed on the transfer fee.
However, the deal abruptly stalled after Mzize’s agent, Jasmine Razack, made additional demands reportedly outside the boundaries of the initial agreement. Zamalek has since decided to pause the transfer process until the impasse is resolved.
Jasmine Razack is no stranger to Tanzanian football circles. She has often been involved in disputes with Yanga, despite previously representing several players who played for the club, such as Fiston Mayele, Feisal "Fei Toto" Salum, and Jean Baleke – who eventually had to part ways with her to finalize his move to Jangwani.
Mzize, 21, has shown impressive form this season, attracting attention from several top African clubs. Although Yanga still has two years left on his contract, the club has expressed openness to offers that benefit both the player and the club.
