With one week remaining until June 15, the date set by the League Board (TPLB) for match number 184 between Yanga and Simba to be played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Yanga the host of the match has not made any preparations so far, as they will not participate in the match.
This position has led the League Board to write a letter to Yanga President Engineer Hersi Said and the club's Executive Committee requesting a joint meeting to discuss the match.
Internal sources within the management have confirmed the meeting request from TPLB, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. in the League Board's conference hall located in Ilala, Dar es Salaam.
However, Engineer Hersi is currently in the United States attending a special training at Harvard Business School.
No Yanga official has been willing to comment on the club’s participation in the meeting.
Yanga has maintained its stance of not participating in the match until its complaints from March 9 are addressed or the board is held accountable.
