Former Yanga SC coach Nasreddine Nabi has arrived in the country for a holiday following the conclusion of the South African Premier Soccer League season. However, his visit is not solely for leisure—there are strong indications of potential talks with Yanga's top leadership.
Reliable sources reveal that Nabi is expected to hold discussions with Yanga President, Engineer Hersi Said, with the main agenda being the possible transfer of two of the club's key players: the talented goalkeeper Djigui Diarra and the young striker Clement Mzize.
This marks the second time Nabi has come to Tanzania this year for talks with Yanga officials. His previous visit was in January, but at the time, the club was not ready to discuss the future of those players.
Mzize and Nabi share a unique history. It was under Nabi’s leadership that Mzize was promoted to the senior team. On several occasions, he served as a backup striker to Fiston Mayele before Mayele eventually moved to Pyramids FC in Egypt.
Mzize has since attracted interest from major clubs across Africa, including South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs. However, Yanga has made it clear that any offer for the player must be substantial in order to be seriously considered.
As for Djigui Diarra, he remains a cornerstone of Yanga’s starting lineup and still has two years left on his contract. Despite his importance, the football adage goes, “every player has a price,” leaving his future at the club uncertain.
