The President of Yanga SC and Chairman of the African Clubs Association (ACA), Engineer Hersi Said, yesterday attended a dinner reception held at Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam, marking the 62nd anniversary since the founding of the African Union (AU).
The event's guest of honor was former President of the Republic of South Africa, H.E. Thabo Mbeki. Other dignitaries in attendance included various government ministers such as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, H.E. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, as well as ambassadors from African and non-African nations.
During the event, Eng. Hersi delivered a speech focused on promoting progress and opening trade borders across the African Union.
Additionally, Eng. Hersi took the opportunity to commend the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, for her leadership role in building African unity, particularly in promoting open borders and trade collaboration across the continent.
