Earlier Wednesday, April 23, a fake letter was circulated on social media claiming that the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) through the Premier League Board (TPLB) had scheduled the date for game number 184 between Yanga and Simba, which was supposed to be played on March 08
However, the TFF has confirmed that the letter is fake as they did not issue it. It is clear that those who prepared and distributed the letter had their own agenda.
But the truth is that TFF, TPLB cannot schedule the game before the decision of Yanga's appeal filed to CAS.
In one of the applications submitted by Yanga's lawyers, it is to prevent the game in question from being scheduled for a new date before the appeal ruling is issued.
This means that no matter how long the case takes, the fate of the match will depend on the ruling to be issued.
If Yanga win, it is clear that the match will not be played because TPLB will have made a mistake in their decision to postpone the game, so they will have to give Yanga three points.
The only way that can provide an opening for the match to be scheduled is if Yanga does not win its claim.
