Yanga started the season with a bang, winning the Community Shield and winning all eight of their opening league matches. The squad looked ripe, the players were at their best, and fans were hopeful of another successful season.

Sead Ramovic: New Fire, But Temporary
After sacking Gamondi, Yanga announced the hiring of coach Sead Ramovic who joined Wananchi from TS Galaxy club which he left a few weeks ago
But Ramovic did not start well either, in the group stage of the African Champions League (CAF CL), Yanga suffered two consecutive defeats that affected the team's morale. These results were not only a blow to the fans, but also clearly showed that there were challenges in the playing methods
