Yanga President Engineer Hersi Said along with Chief Executive Andre Mtine attended a meeting convened by the Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Hon. Palamagamba Kabudi, to resolve the dispute that arose after the League Board postponed the 184th NBC Premier League match between Yanga and Simba, which was scheduled to be played on March 08 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Officials from the League Board, TFF and Simba Club also attended the meeting held at the venue inside the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Hersi was not ready to speak before the meeting but promised to speak after the meeting if there was a need to do so
Yanga has taken a stand not to play the match again after being dissatisfied with the action taken by the League Board which is contrary to the rules of football in the country
The three-time Premier League champions wrote a letter requesting that they be given three points and three goals but the League Board responded that they will not be given three points because the game's procedures were not completed.
