Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi has planned to meet with the leaders of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB), Simba and Yanga Club to resolve the ongoing dispute over the postponement of their Mainland Premier League game against Simba
According to a statement released yesterday, Monday, March 24, 2025, the meeting will be held in Dar es Salaam, Thursday and officials from Yanga, Simba, TFF and the Premier League Board have been notified to attend
While efforts to resolve the dispute 'at the table' continue, Yanga has already taken the matter to the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) after being dissatisfied with the action taken by the League Board to postpone the game against Simba that was supposed to be played on March 08
The league board postponed the game after Simba announced that it would not play, claiming that it was prevented from making final preparations at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium for the game
Through various statements, Members of Yanga have taken a stand and have instructed their leaders not to be allowed back on the field to play the game, demanding that action be taken in accordance with the rules.
