Yanga's right back Yao Kouassi continues to improve after undergoing knee surgery a few weeks ago
Yanga's Information and Communication Manager Ali Kamwe has said that Yao has started to walk 'normally' which is a good step towards his return to the field.However, Yao will not be part of the team that will face Simba on Saturday in the NBC Premier League game
"Yao continues to improve now walking normally without the aid of crutches. I know Yanga fans are very interested to know if Yao will be able to play on Saturday"
"Let me say this, he is in a good stage in 'recovery' but he is not yet ready to play football, so let us know that he will not be part of the team on Saturday," said Kamwe
Yao has already been out of the field for about four weeks after the surgery where he is expected to be out for six weeks before starting training to bring him back to the field
Israel Mwenda and Kibwana Shomari have done a good job throughout the period that Yao has been missing
