Captain of Yanga Bakari Nondo Mwamnyeto said the players have a big responsibility to fight in the championship of the champions league to make sure they do better than the success they had last season
The Yanga team returned to training the other day to start preparations for the first game of the group stage against Al Hilal to be played on Tuesday November 26 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Mwanmyeto said the players have returned with great enthusiasm, their focus is the game against Al Hilal
"We are grateful to all the players, we have returned to training safely, we have directed our focus to the Champions League game against Al Hilal"
"This season we have a big responsibility to make sure we do our best in this championship to cross this group stage and play in the quarter finals"
"We have a good time to prepare for the game against Al Hilal, I believe that when our colleagues who left for the national teams come back to join us, we will be ready for that match," he said
Yanga is in group A with Al Hilal, TP Mazembe and MC Alger. After the home game against Al Hilal, the Citizens will travel to Algeria to face MC Alger on December 07
