The goalkeeper of Yanga, Djigui Diarra, has entered the space of the best goalkeepers in Africa after playing four matches of the preliminary stage without conceding a goal
Diarra has been an important pillar for Yanga, helping Yanga reach the group stage without conceding a goal in 360 minutes
Diarra has used those minutes in two matches of the first round against Vital'O Burundi and Yanga won a total of 10-0 goals starting with a 4-0 win and when they returned they won again 6-0, then played the matches of the second round against CBE SA of Ethiopia with a total of 7-0 goals.
Diarra continued the streak by helping Yanga win 1-0 away in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia then last weekend playing at Amaan Zanzibar Stadium, Yanga won again 6-0 making the goalkeeper and Yanga a total of four matches without picking up the ball in the net
Also in the NBC premier league, Diarra already has two 'clean sheets' staying in the goal without allowing a goal in two matches against Kagera Sugar and Ken Gold
Having served Yanga for three seasons, Diarra is still very much with Wananchi as in July he signed another three-year contract that will keep him in the desert until 2027
Indeed, Yanga is proud of the high-class goalkeeper who is currently the number one goalkeeper of the Mali national team
