Yanga yesterday entered into an agreement with the local beer company (TBL) to play a special game with the Safari Champion team on June 29 at the Benjamini Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
TBL conducted a special competition to search for talent and select the players who made up the Safari Champion team
Chief Executive of Yanga Club, Andrew Ntime, has said that the agreement will help raise the talents of young people who will serve the national teams in the future
"This is a unique opportunity for us to enter into an agreement with this company to ensure that we raise the talents of young people who will later serve the national teams," said Mtime
TBL manager, Pamela Kikalu, said the Safari Champion team has a total of 22 players who have been found in four regions of mainland Tanzania, through their process that started in August last year
"This process started in August by gathering more than 1,000 young people from different regions of mainland Tanzania for whom we made a selection and got this number," said Kikalu
In addition to the Festival, there will also be entertainment provided by Harmonize artists from Tanzania and Koffi Olomide from Congo.
