Yanga head coach Miguel Gamondi has expressed his disappointment after Yanga was denied a legitimate goal in the Champions League quarter-final match against Mamelodi Sundows
The game played at Loftus Stadium in South Africa, 90 minutes ended in a scoreless draw with Mamelodi winning by penalty kicks 3-2
But the big discussion after the match is the disallowance of the goal scored by Aziz Ki where his left foot shot hit the crossbar and then bounced in.
Gamondi has said that he has doubts about the incident of the goal being rejected because the referee had a chance to go to VAR to satisfy himself but he did not do so
"What I can say is that everyone has seen what happened here, the truth is that Yanga and Tanzania have been clearly victimized"
"I don't blame Mamelodi Sundowns, I also have great respect for the country of South Africa but I must say clearly what happened here today is a shame for African football"
"I have doubts about the decisions of this game, when our player Lomalisa was given a yellow card, the referee went to VAR to satisfy himself whether he deserved to be given a red card"
