Vice President of Yanga Arafat Haji has said that their strategy is to ensure that they reap important points that will give them a chance to reach the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League
On Saturday, Yanga was forced to draw 1-1 against Al Ahly at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium, a result that makes Yanga only get one point from two matches
Arafat said the result should not discourage them, they will work hard to get important points that will take them to the quarter finals
"We set ourselves the goal of winning the game against Al Ahly but it didn't happen, we got one point"
"I tell our fans and members, we have taken this one point, we are going to prepare for the next matches. We will fight to make sure we collect important points so that we can qualify for the next stage," said Arafat
On Friday of this week, Yanga will be away in Ghana to face Medeama and then the teams will meet again in Dar es Salaam on December 20
These next two matches will decide the fate of Yanga in its strategy to seek the second quarter-final in the Champions League
