After the weekend break, the Yanga squad has returned to training to prepare for the group stages of the Champions League
The citizens who are in group D, will start away on November 24 in Algeria in a game against CR Belouizdad
Information and Communication Manager of Yanga club Ali Kamwe said today the players have done one training session at Avic Town
However, Kamwe said there is a challenge arising from a large number of players going to the duties of national teams
"We have started training at Avic Town, today we had one training session supervised by coach Miguel Gamondi and the technical bench in general"
"We have a schedule challenge as many players are on national team duties and we will probably join them in Algeria"
"The last game to qualify for the World Cup is November 21 and our game against CR Belouizdad will be played on November 24," said Kamwe
Eleven players have left for national teams where eight are in Tanzania's national team 'Taifa Stars' while Khalid Aucho joins Uganda, Stephane Aziz Ki (Burkina Faso) and Djigui Diarra (Mali)
The players in the Stars squad are Aboutwalib Mshery, Metacha Mnata, Nickon Kibabage, Dickon Job, Bakari Mwamnyeto, Ibrahim Bacca, Mudathir Yahya and Clement Mzize
The rest of Gamondi's squad has no goalkeeper as all the goalkeepers have gone to national team duties
