The president of Yanga Engineer Hersi Said has asked the members and fans to continue to have faith in his leadership as they are planning to continue the success they achieved last season
Today Hersi has completed one year since he was elected President of Yanga on July 10 2022
Speaking at the event where a bonus of Tsh 405 Million was handed to Yanga by the SportPesa after winning three titles last season, Hersi said the success achieved was due to the unity and cooperation of the team and their sponsors
"Today, as I speak, it has been one year since the members trusted me and elected me to be the President of this club. I ask you to give me that trust in the remaining three years so that we can continue the good things we have done"
"Let me assure you that we are prepared, our fans should not be interrupted by the noise on the media. We have a strong team that with the improvements we have made, next season we will meet again here to congratulate each other on another success," said Hersi
Hersi has thanked the SportPesa company for fulfilling its contractual obligations after giving a bonus of Tsh 405 Million
"We and SportPesa have two types of agreements. There is a payment that we get every month but there is a payment that is based on the success of the team, this bonus is based on the success we achieved last season by winning the championship of the major league, the Community Shield and the FA Cup as well as reaching the final of the African Confederation Cup"
