President of Yanga Engineer Hersi Said said the invitation they got to participate in the Independence celebrations in Malawi is a sign of the great respect that the team is given outside Tanzania
Hersi has led the Yanga delegation which left early today for Malawi where on Thursday they will play an international friendly match against Nyasa Big Bullets in celebration of Malawi's Independence
"It is a great honor for Yanga to participate in such big events, we all know that the number one celebration in the country is freedom"
"To be invited is a great honor for Yanga and it shows the willingness of many Countries to cooperate with Yanga. Tanzania has many clubs that could have been invited, it is a great honor for us to be invited and we thank the people of Malawi," said Hersi< /p>
Yanga has left the Country today on a special plane that will bring them back after the game against Nyasa Big Bullets
Yanga has not included some key first team players given a break after a successful 2022/23 season
Yanga will officially begin camp on July 10 to start preparations for the new season
