The Foot Africa network has announced Yanga striker Fiston Mayele as the best player in Africa in September 2022
Mayele has won the award after being voted by a large number of football fans in Africa
He has defeated Baulaye Dia, the international striker of Senegal who was competing closely with him
Mayele got 37 percent of all the votes cast while Dia got 34 percent
Mayele has had a good season so far, scoring seven goals in the preliminary stage matches of the Champions League while keeping three goals in the Premier League matches
He also scored two goals in the Community Shield game against Simba and thus has scored 12 goals in all competitions
