After drawing attention of football fans in the country by calling his son the name of Yanga striker, Fiston Mayele, Yanga fan, Victor Maguta said has decided to call his son that name to put memory for generations on that statue.
Maguta (43) a resident of Igoma in Mwanza and his wife, Joyce Maguta (30) have decided to name their four-month-old baby Fiston Mayele as a sign of their deep love for the DR Congo player.
Maguta said when Mayele joined Yanga his wife was two months pregnant so due to the way Mayele has been capturing the emotions of the fans by scoring goals as the couple agreed to call their baby by that name.
"I decided to call my son Mayele because in the beginning my children used to call family names so I decided the last one to set up my own remembrance"
"Even if he moves from Yanga I can't change my son's name that is a memory, I just liked Mayele's way of play and said that if a boy is born I must call him Mayele to make an idol for me because I can't build a statue on the street, "said Mguta
