Yesterday after the game against Namungo Fc which ended in a 2-1 victory for Yanga, Assistant coach Cedric Kaze revealed that they used the statements from Namungo Fc assistant coach Jamhuri Kiwhelo 'Julio' a day before the game to boost players morale
Kaze, who admitted that he did not know Julio as a coach before seeing him on Namungo Fc's technical bench, said Julio's comments boosted his players' determination to win the game
"We heard a fan of the other team say they want to beat us to reduce the points difference between us and Simba and then believe we can lost against Simba to remain with a difference of four points"
"We showed the video to our players before the game and they saw they needed to win this game. I was surprised to see him on the technical bench (Julio), I did not know if he was a coach as I do not believe a football coach can make such statements." said Kaze
Kaze also praised the performance of the players and called the game the best matches they have played this season
"Congratulations to the players for a good game, we had a very good performance. This is the kind of game we could have scored five, six and even seven goals if we had been more careful. We had to finish this game from the first half but most importantly we were able to get three points "
"Now we are heading to the next game against Simba with the intention of winning to erase the hopes of our opponents in the race for the title"
