The formation that coach Nasreddine Nabi used in the game against Simba that was played over the weekend and ended in a goalless draw, seems to have made it easier for Simba defenders Joash Onyango and Hennock Inonga to control Yanga's dangerous striker, Fiston Mayele
In that game Nabi used his 4-2-3-1 formation but took precautions by bringing Fei Toto back to the middle
Fei Toto was back in the middle alongside Yannick Bangala and Khalid Aucho where Yanga managed to dominate the midfield but lacked a good number during attacking
Mayele was alone in front most of the game and so it was easy for the defenders to pick him
"I'm used to play in front with Fei Toto but on the derby he was far away, which is why Onyango and Inonga picked me easily," said Mayele
The absence of striker Yacouba Songne also gave the defenders freedom as with Saido Ntibazonkiza shining especially in the second half, in the first half he was playing deep
Yacouba will remain out of the Yanga squad for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery last month
Yanga is expected to sign another striker in the min-transfer window that will open on Wednesday December 15
