The 2022 Revolution Cup Tournament is expected to officially start on January 2, 2022 at Amaan Stadium where a total of 10 teams will take part in the Tournament
According to a statement issued by the Chairman of the Competition Committee Imane Duwe said the tournament included 10 teams, four from Mainland Tanzania which are Yanga (Defending Champions), Simba, Azam and Namungo while 6 teams are expected from Zanzibar which are KMKM, Mlandege, Jang'ombe Nation, Four Ships City, Selem View and Yosso Boys.
He said they expect to organize 3 groups where each group will have 4 teams while awaiting final confirmation to organize the groups.
Yanga are the Defending Champions of the tournament following beating Simba 4-3 on penalties after 90 minutes from a 0-0 draw Final played on January 13 this year (2021)
