Former Yanga midfielder Haruna Niyonzima, who is the captain of the Rwanda national team, has entered into FIFA records after joining FIFA Century Club, which features players who have played 100 National team games.
Niyonzima started playing for National team in 2006 and has made 104 appearances and scored 6 goals and became the only player to have played such matches for Rwanda National team
The players who join FIFAβs Century Club are players who played in the World Cup, qualifying games, continental cup and Olympic finals from 1948 for those who played only the senior teams
As of October 16, 2021 only 575 players have reached 100 international games with their teams according to a copy provided by FIFA, Rec. Sport Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF).
