Yanga Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi said they accepted the result after losing the game against Rivers United 1-0 yesterday
Nabi said there are a number of reasons that have contributed to their poor performance but they are now returning home in full force to start the victory in the Community Shield match against Simba which will be played next Sunday
"We have had a lot of challenges, most of which our preparations have not been good due to reasons that are beyond our control. We have missed some of our players due to their late permits"
"We played well here in Nigeria, I don't think we deserved to lose the game, we created chances, we were denied penalty kicks but that's how football is"
"Now we are back strong, the players we could not use in this tournament are back in the squad and I think they will strengthen us, we have a chance to win on Sunday," said Nabi
Yanga returned to the country earlier today from Nigeria with the team directly heading to camp
