Simba head coach Abdelhak Benchikha will be in Marrakesh in Morocco today to attend the CAF annual awards ceremony. Benchikha is vying for the Best Coach of the Year award
Last season, Benchikha led USM Alger to win the Confederations Cup in Africa (CAF CC) and then led the team to win the Super Cup with a victory against Al Ahly
He is competing with Walid Regragui of the Moroccan national team and Aliou Cisse of the Senegalese national team
President of Yanga, Engineer Hersi Said ane will be part of the guests who will witness the annual CAF awards
Hersi who is also the Chairman of African Football Clubs (ACA) will be present at the awards that will be held in Morocco in the city of Marrakesh
Yanga entered the competition for the award of the best club of the year but did not manage to make it to the finals, which left three teams and the Citizens ended up in the top five
Goalkeeper Djigui Diarra also failed to make it to the final list of players vying for the best goalkeeper award and the best player of the year (playing in Africa)
