Yanga interim head coach Simo Dladla has assured the club’s fans and members that the team is ready to put things right after disappointing performances in their last two NBC Mainland Premier League matches.
Tomorrow, Yanga will take to the KMC Complex to face Mashujaa FC in another league fixture, with the Wananchi needing one result above all others—a victory—to remain well positioned in the title race.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the match, Dladla said they understood how much they had hurt their supporters by failing to secure a positive result in their previous game. He added that the players know what the fans expect and will therefore be aggressive and fight hard to ensure they win tomorrow’s match.
“We are playing at home, so we must be aggressive and make quick, correct decisions in front of goal. We have to make good use of our chances and ensure we get the result we need. We are professionals in this game and understand the challenges facing us. I believe we are ready.”
“The game is in the players’ hands. They know what to do. Any changes in our system and tactics will depend on the players available. As I said, we will be aggressive and play attractive football. We know our challenges and are working on them. Yanga’s big objective is to ensure we finish top.”
“To the Wananchi, we understand that we disappointed you in our previous match because we did not get the result we expected. We have identified our shortcomings and will work hard. We know we owe you a great deal. We owe you goals, good football and a high level of competitiveness every time we step onto the pitch.”
“My appeal to the club’s supporters is to give us time and continue supporting us. Have faith in your players and leaders. Come to the stadium in large numbers to support us. We will make sure we fight hard to bring back your smiles and give you happiness through positive results. Every one of us understands our fans’ expectations and the importance of delivering on the pitch,” he said.
