Yanga Media and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has urged the club's supporters to turn out in large numbers at Azam Complex on Wednesday, October 21, for the second leg of their CAF Champions League (CAFCL) qualifying tie as they battle for a place in the group stage.
After securing a 4-0 victory over CFFA in the first leg at Azam Complex, where Yanga were the away team, the Wananchi will play at home this Wednesday.
Kamwe said Yanga are on the verge of making history by becoming the first Tanzanian club to feature in the CAFCL group stage for four consecutive seasons.
A win, a draw or even a defeat by no more than three goals would guarantee the Wananchi that historic achievement.
Having emerged as the highest-scoring team in the first-leg matches of the second qualifying round, Kamwe has also declared that Yanga intend to finish the second leg with even better statistics.
"Yanga are the only club to have scored the most goals in the first-leg matches of the second qualifying round of the CAF Champions League. Let us meet again on Wednesday at Azam Complex to finish the job and set a record as the first Tanzanian team to reach the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP STAGE four consecutive times."
"The match kicks off at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices remain unchanged, and we will process entry through N CARD," Kamwe wrote on his social media page.
