Yanga versatile midfielder Maxi Nzengeli will be chasing a piece of Kariakoo Derby history on Saturday when Simba host Yanga in an NBC Premier League clash at Uhuru Stadium.
Maxi is among the players with the most goals in Kariakoo Derby matches.
If he scores in the upcoming clash, he will become the highest-scoring player in Simba vs Yanga meetings in the 21st century.
Maxi has scored three goals against Simba, level with Stephane Aziz Ki. However, Aziz Ki is serving a suspension following his red card and will miss the match.
Maxi has been in excellent form this season, featuring in all six of Yanga’s league matches, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
In five of those six matches, he was named Player of the Match.
The DR Congo international needs just one goal to etch his name into the Kariakoo Derby record books.
