Tanzania Mainland champions Yanga SC are expected to travel to Mauritius between October 16 and 18, 2026, to face CFFA FC in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Although CFFA FC are based in Madagascar, they will be forced to use a stadium in Mauritius as their home venue for the match after Madagascar failed to provide a venue that meets CAF requirements.
This could be viewed as good news for Yanga because, despite playing away from home, their opponents will also effectively be playing on neutral territory in the first leg.
After the away first leg, the Jangwani giants will return home to Tanzania to complete the tie in the second leg, scheduled to be played between October 23 and 25, 2026.
The winner on aggregate over the two matches will advance directly to the group stage of Africa’s premier club competition.
This season, Yanga have set a target of reaching at least the quarter-finals of the competition.
