After an eight-day break, the Yanga squad are expected to return to training and begin preparations for their Mainland Premier League and CAF Champions League fixtures in October.
According to the schedule, Yanga are expected to play five matches across all competitions within a 20-day period.
Coach Manqoba Mngqithi will therefore have the task of guiding Yanga safely through three crucial matches in October.
The first will be the Kariakoo Derby against Simba on October 10. Yanga will be looking to maintain their dominance over their traditional rivals in the fixture.
Yanga supporters will be hoping their team avoid defeat in the match and maintain their position at the top of the league standings.
There will also be two decisive matches that will determine whether Yanga advance to the group stage of the CAF Champions League (CAFCL).
Yanga will face Madagascar’s CFFA, with the first leg scheduled to be played in Mauritius on October 17, followed by the return leg one week later in Dar es Salaam.
Yanga’s target in the CAF Champions League this season is at least to reach the quarter-finals, although Mngqithi has set a more ambitious objective of challenging for the title.
There will also be Mainland Premier League matches against TRA United (October 13, away) and Mashujaa FC (October 27, at home).
