The CAF Champions League clash between Botswana giants Gaborone United and Tanzanian champions Yanga SC is generating growing excitement in Gaborone, with the hosts admitting they face a tough test but insisting they have made thorough preparations.
The preliminary-round match is scheduled for this Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Botswana National Stadium. The fixture has attracted significant attention among football fans in the country due to Yanga’s growing stature in African football.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Gaborone United spokesperson Tshepo Molwane revealed that the club’s technical bench has conducted extensive analysis of Yanga using footage of their previous matches to identify their tactics and dangerous areas.
