Yanga fans yesterday watched defender Farouk Komara complete his first full 90 minutes since joining the club during the previous transfer window.
Komara started at centre-back alongside Ibrahim Bacca and put in an impressive performance, particularly with his passing ability and aerial play.
There had been some doubts over the Ivory Coast defender’s quality after he joined Yanga from South African club Golden Arrows.
However, his 90-minute performance against Fountain Gate clearly showed the Wananchi that they have secured a quality player.
Komara is not only capable of playing at centre-back; the versatile defender can also operate as a defensive midfielder.
