Tanzania international midfielder Alphonce Mabula Msanga has finally joined Algerian club JS Kabylie after being strongly linked with Tanzanian champions Yanga SC during the previous transfer window.
The 23-year-old joined JS Kabylie as a free agent after his contract with Azerbaijani club Shamaxi FK expired at the end of June 2026.
Reports from Algeria indicate that Mabula has signed a three-year contract with the Tizi Ouzou-based club.
The transfer was completed on the final day of Algeria's transfer window, with JS Kabylie beating other clubs that had been pursuing the midfielder.
Yanga Wanted Mabula
Before his move to Algeria, Mabula was one of the biggest talking points in Tanzania's transfer window after Yanga opened talks to bring the midfielder back home.
Reports in July indicated that Yanga had reached an agreement with Mabula as the club looked to strengthen its defensive midfield department. At the time, Mabula had already ended his contract with Shamaxi and was a free agent.
However, the initial agreement did not lead to a completed transfer, as the player did not sign the contract in time while waiting to consider other offers he had received.
Yanga eventually signed midfielder Fredy Ngoma and officially abandoned their plans to bring in Mabula. The club also completed its transfer business by re-signing Stephane Aziz Ki just days before the transfer window closed.
