Yanga fans are eagerly looking forward to seeing their new stars Stephane Aziz Ki and Seleman Mwalimu in action, although it is now simply a matter of time before they make their appearances.
The two players are reportedly undergoing a special training programme to reach the required level of fitness before they are cleared to play.
Yanga Head of Information and Communications Ali Kamwe has confirmed that neither player has any injury or fitness concerns, saying they will feature once the right time comes.
Kamwe said Yanga's current priority is to win its matches regardless of which players are selected in the starting lineup. He urged fans to continue supporting the team and giving every player their full backing.
Mwalimu's Licence Cleared
Meanwhile, Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Information Officer Clifford Ndimbo has confirmed that striker Seleman Mwalimu has been cleared to play for the reigning champions and that his licence has already been issued.
The statement puts to rest rumours circulating on social media that Simba had lodged an objection against the player, allegedly seeking reimbursement for personal expenses incurred before Mwalimu left the club to join Yanga.
For now, the only thing being awaited is for Mwalimu to reach full readiness, just like Aziz Ki, before officially making his debut.
