Yanga SC goalkeeper Aboutwalib Mshery has urged the club's supporters to turn out in large numbers at KMC Complex on Monday to cheer on their team against JKT Tanzania in an NBC Premier League match.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 p.m., with Yanga targeting a positive result against JKT Tanzania in a game Mshery believes will not be easy given the quality of their opponents.
Speaking ahead of the match, Mshery said the squad's preparations are progressing well despite the tight schedule, with matches coming in quick succession.
“Our preparations for the upcoming matches are going well. The games are coming very close together, with a match every four days, and preparations are continuing as usual. However, we have now put more focus on the match against JKT Tanzania.”
Mshery said they are aware of the difficulty of the encounter because of JKT Tanzania's quality, stressing that their opponents have good players and a capable technical bench.
“Matches against JKT Tanzania have never been easy because they have good players and a good coach. JKT Tanzania are coming off a defeat, so we know they will approach this match with even greater caution.”
The goalkeeper also called on Yanga fans to fill KMC Complex and support the team throughout the match.
Mshery said the presence of supporters in the stands is crucial in boosting the players' morale as they fight for victory.
“We ask Yanga fans to come and support us as they always do. Their presence is like having a 12th player on the pitch, so we ask them to come in large numbers and give us their support.”
Yanga will enter the match looking to return to the top of the league table, while JKT Tanzania will also be seeking a result that can improve their position in the standings.
