Yanga head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has expressed his delight at the signing of attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki, who has returned to the club for a second spell.
Two days ago, Yanga unveiled Aziz Ki after he returned from Al Ittihad, whom he had represented for just six months after joining from Wydad AC.
Mngqithi said Aziz Ki is the type of player every coach would want to have because of his talent and ability to make a difference for the team, particularly during difficult moments.
"Honestly, I am very happy because I had been eagerly waiting for this signing, and I thank the club president, the board and everyone involved in making this happen."
"We are a team with very big ambitions. We want to win as many trophies as possible."
"Therefore, we need players — and not just players, but players who can make a difference when we need it. Aziz is going to add tremendous value to our squad."
"I spoke to him even when I was in South Africa after he put in a very good performance against Sundowns. In my team, he must be ready to run and fight just like all the other players," said Mngqithi.
Aziz Ki is expected to join his teammates today as they prepare for their next match against Coastal Union, scheduled for August 20 at KMC Complex.
Aziz Ki has taken the place of Allan Okello, who has joined Moroccan club AS FAR Rabat, where he will reunite with former Yanga coach Pedro Goncalves.
