Yanga Information and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has confirmed that the club has received a lucrative offer from Angolan side Petro Atletico for striker Laurindo Aurelio "Depu".
Kamwe said the club is waiting for recommendations from the technical bench before the management decides whether to proceed with the potential transfer.
"It is true that the club has received a lucrative offer from Petro Atletico, who want our striker Depu. We have now left the matter with the technical bench to give their recommendations on whether they still need the striker or if we are already well covered in the attacking department."
"If the technical bench is satisfied with the other players available in attack, then we can do business, but at the moment we are still in discussions," Kamwe said.
Reports indicate that Petro Atletico have already reached personal terms with Depu and are now waiting for negotiations with Yanga to be completed before finalising the transfer.
Yanga are required to reduce their number of foreign players to remain within the limit of 12. The arrivals of two strikers, Cheick Ibrahima Toure and Peter Shalulile, are believed to be key factors that could influence the club's decision to sell Depu.
