Yanga striker Peter Shalulile has revealed that he has been following the Wiki ya Wananchi festival for some time and is now excited to have the opportunity to be part of the event.
Shalulile has called on Yanga supporters to turn up in large numbers at Uhuru Stadium on Sunday as they officially open the new season together.
"Wananchi, let us meet on Sunday. I have followed this festival for a long time. Come in large numbers so we can celebrate together," Shalulile said.
The striker, who joined Yanga from Mamelodi Sundowns, is among the new players who will experience the full support of the Wananchi fans for the first time on Sunday as they welcome the new season.
For several years, Wiki ya Mwananchi has grown into a prestigious event for players. Through the occasion, new signings get to understand the size of the club they represent, as well as their responsibility to fight for success and win trophies.
