New Yanga striker Peter Shalulile, popularly known as "Shasha Man," has thanked the hundreds of Yanga supporters who gathered at the club's headquarters in Jangwani to welcome him.
The reception ceremony for the Namibia international was led by Yanga President Eng. Hersi Said.
"I want to thank all of you for coming here to welcome me. I love the passion and spirit you have shown. I promise to fight for this club and do everything I can to help us win trophies. I know I won't do it aloneβit will take teamwork between us, the players, and you, the fans," said Shalulile, whose unveiling was broadcast live on Azam TV.
The arrival of the all-time leading scorer in South Africa's Premier Soccer League has also put an end to speculation from some quarters claiming that Yanga had not actually signed the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker and that his announcement had merely been linked to election-related matters.
