Yanga have officially confirmed that attacking midfielder Pacome Zouzoua will not be part of the club's squad for the 2026/27 season as he continues his recovery from a long-term injury.
Speaking to the media, Yanga Head of Information and Communications Ali Kamwe said the Ivorian playmaker has been removed from the club's 2026/27 registration list. However, he emphasized that Zouzoua will continue to receive all of his contractual benefits while undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.
Kamwe revealed that the club intends to sign another foreign player to replace Zouzoua, who suffered the injury on June 30 during Yanga's final NBC Premier League match of last season against JKT Tanzania.
The club spokesperson added that, following this decision, Yanga are now expected to make two more foreign signings before finalizing their squad for the new campaign.
Kamwe also provided an update on injured players Dickson Job and Clement Mzize. He noted that the initial expectation was for both players to return at the beginning of December 2026. However, because of the encouraging progress they have shown during Yanga's ongoing pre-season camp at Avic Town, they could return much earlier, with October now a realistic target for their return to competitive action.
