After being closed for an extended period for renovations, Uhuru Stadium is now ready to host matches for the 2026/27 season.
Tanzania Mainland champions Yanga have chosen the stadium as the venue for all of their home matches. Following the upgrades, the stadium now has a capacity of approximately 25,000 spectators.
The Tanzania Premier League Board is expected to unveil the 2026/27 league fixtures today. The new season is scheduled to kick off on August 14, following the Community Shield clash between Yanga and Simba on August 12.
