Yanga are reportedly working to convince Tanzania national team midfielder Alphonce Mabula to join the Tanzanian champions.
Mabula is currently in Tanzania on holiday after leaving Azerbaijani club Shamakhi following the expiry of his contract.
The 23-year-old still has ambitions of returning to Europe to continue his football career, but reports indicate that Yanga officials have presented him with a lucrative offer that could persuade him to join the club.
Mabula has spent nearly four seasons playing in Europe. Before joining Shamakhi in January 2025, he played for Serbian club Spartak Subotica, where he arrived in February 2022 from Alliance FC. He also featured for RFK Novi Sad on loan during the 2024/25 season.
Mabula, who is capable of playing in several midfield positions, is among the key players in the Tanzania national team setup. He received his first call-up to Taifa Stars on May 30, 2025, under head coach Hemed Suleiman "Morocco".
