Yanga SC captain Bakari Mwamnyeto will remain with the club after reaching an agreement to extend his contract with the Tanzanian Mainland Premier League champions.
Reports indicate that after several weeks of negotiations, both parties have successfully reached an agreement, bringing an end to speculation surrounding the defender's future at the club.
Mwamnyeto is one of the most experienced players in the Yanga squad, having served the club for approximately six seasons. During that time, he has demonstrated outstanding leadership on the pitch and established himself as a key figure in the team's success.
Under his captaincy, Yanga have won five Tanzanian Mainland Premier League titles, along with the FA Cup, the Community Shield, and several other domestic trophies.
Mwamnyeto's contract extension is part of Yanga's strategy to retain its core players ahead of the new season as the club aims to continue its success in both domestic and continental competitions.
