The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) Competitions and Administration Committee, in its meeting held on July 2, 2026, reviewed various incidents and performances from the league and issued the following decisions:
NBC Premier League
Match No. 233: JKT Tanzania FC 0–3 Young Africans SC
Young Africans SC have been fined Sh100,000,000 for the misconduct of their players and technical staff, who failed to use the official dressing room at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Instead, they used a house located outside the stadium across the road, contrary to Competition Rule 17:20 regarding match-day procedures.
The punishment has been issued under Rule 27:7 of the NBC Premier League regulations concerning disciplinary decisions.
NOTICE: The committee has also referred Yanga SC President Hersi Said and Chief Executive Officer Andre Mtine to the TFF Ethics Committee for further explanation due to repeated violations of the rule requiring teams to use official dressing rooms at match venues.
In May 2026, Yanga SC were previously fined Sh30,000,000 for a similar offense involving the use of a non-designated dressing facility outside the stadium.
Match No. 234: Simba SC 1–0 KMC FC
KMC FC have been issued a strong warning after three of their players—Aimari Said Twalibu (shirt No. 71), Steven Donald Mgimwa (shirt No. 80), and Hussein Ally Kihiyo (shirt No. 86)—wore jerseys with numbers exceeding 70, in violation of Rule 17.2(2.5) of the NBC Premier League regulations.
The sanction has been imposed under Rule 17:62 concerning match procedures.
Match No. 240: Namungo FC 2–1 Mtibwa Sugar
Mtibwa Sugar have been fined Sh5,000,000 for failing to use the official dressing room at Majaliwa Stadium in Lindi, instead using an unauthorized facility, in violation of Rule 17:20 of the NBC Premier League regulations.
