Yanga SC attacking midfielder Allan Okello has made history by winning league titles in two different countries during the 2025/26 season, while also emerging as one of the standout performers in the NBC Premier League.
The Uganda international began the season with Vipers SC, helping the club win the Uganda Premier League title before joining Yanga SC during the January 2026 transfer window.
Despite arriving midway through the campaign, Okello quickly established himself as a key player. Within seven months, he became an important figure in Yanga's squad and played a major role in the club's successful defence of the NBC Premier League title.
Okello finished the season with 14 league goals, placing third in the league's scoring chart behind Singida Black Stars striker Ndumumwe Mossi, who scored 17 goals, and Azam FC midfielder Feisal Salum, who finished second with 15.
In addition to his goals, Okello provided seven assists, directly contributing to 21 goals for Yanga during the season. Those statistics made him the club's most productive attacking player, highlighting his influence on the team's success.
The achievement earned Okello two league winners' medals in a single season, having first lifted the Ugandan league title with Vipers SC before adding the Tanzanian championship with Yanga.
The title with Yanga is also the first league championship of his career won outside Uganda, marking another significant milestone and demonstrating his ability to excel in different football environments.
Following his impressive performances since arriving at Jangwani, Okello has been widely regarded as one of the best signings of the mid-season transfer window, with Yanga supporters expecting him to remain a key player in both domestic and continental competitions next season.
