Yanga have made history by winning the NBC Premier League title for a fifth consecutive season.
A commanding 3-0 victory over JKT Tanzania at Isamuhyo Stadium secured the Wananchi their 32nd league title in the club's history.
Prince Dube opened the scoring with an early goal in the ninth minute, giving Yanga a 1-0 lead going into the halftime break.
However, the celebrations were briefly overshadowed by a worrying moment when attacking midfielder Pacome Zouzoua suffered a serious injury late in the first half. The incident resulted in JKT Tanzania defender Twalib Hassan being shown a straight red card.
Yanga continued to dominate after the restart, adding two more goals through Maxi Nzengeli and Laurindo Aurélio "Depú" to seal an emphatic victory.
It was a season filled with challenges and difficult moments, but once again Yanga emerged on top, writing another memorable chapter in the club's history.
Credit goes to the coaching staff—Romain Folz, Pedro Gonçalves, Abdihamid Moalin, and their technical team—for successfully delivering the club's objectives after taking charge at different stages of the campaign.
The team's determination and fighting spirit, even during moments when many had lost hope, ultimately earned them the ultimate reward: another league championship.
YANGA ARE CHAMPIONS!
